Director: Loukas Mistelis is a member of the Centre for Commercial Law Studies where he is Director of the School of International Arbitration. He teaches on the LLM programme and is the co-ordinator of the courses in International and Comparative Commercial Arbitration, International Trade and Investment Dispute Settlement, International Commercial Litigation and ADR. |

Head: Professor and Barrister/International Arbitrator. Primarily a practising lawyer and arbitrator. Julian Lew's research interest is international commercial arbitration. He has written extensively on many different aspects of international arbitration and trade law, and has authored and edited numerous books, and has written innumerable articles, on international arbitration. |

Dr Stavros Brekoulakis, LLB (Athens) LLM (London) PhD (London) Stavros Brekoulakis studied law at Athens and London and obtained a first class LLB from Athens and his LLM from King's College London. He is also member of the Athens Bar having practiced in shipping law and dispute resolution. |

Dr Maxi Scherer, MA, PhD (Paris Sorbonne), LLM (Köln) Maxi Scherer is an Avocat at the Paris bar and a solicitor (England and Wales). She has practiced international arbitration for over 10 years, both as counsel and as arbitrator. She is the Academic Director of the new Queen Mary LLM in Paris and she teaches international arbitration in the London LLM programme. |

Dr Debbie De Girolamo, PhD (LSE), LLM in ADR (Osgoode Hall Law School), Barrister & Solicitor (Canada) Debbie De Girolamo teaches Alternative Dispute Resolution and Negotiation Theory and Practice in the LLM Programmes at CCLS and in Paris. She is also Academic Director of the Postgraduate Diploma Course in International Mediation (taught by distance learning) and the Postgraduate Diploma Course in International Dispute Resolution (Mediation). Her research interests include all areas of dispute resolution processes. |

Norah Gallagher is a specialist in the areas of international arbitration and public international law. She has acted in arbitrations under ICC, ICSID, LCIA as well as ad hoc arbitrations. She regularly advises on issues concerning arbitration agreements including defective or pathological clauses, bifurcated clauses and multiparty arrangements as well as all procedural aspects of international arbitration and enforcement of awards. |

Joanna Gomula-Crawford has been associated for many years with the Polish Academy's Institute of Law Studies and has researched and taught in public international law, EU law and international economic law. |

Dr Tatiana Kyselova (Distance Learning programme) Tatiana Kyselova holds an LLB from Donetsk National University, an LLM from London School of Economics and Political Science, and a DPhil from University of Oxford. She is Associate Professor at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy School of Law (Ukraine). She is the course convenor for Alternative Dispute Resolution module, Postgraduate Diploma in International Dispute Resolution (Arbitration and Mediation). Her research interests include socio-legal studies and Alternative Dispute Resolution, particularly issues of globalization of mediation regulation and practice, comparative ADR, and commercial dispute resolution. |

His Honour Humphrey Lloyd QC has been conducting courses at Queen Mary on International Construction Contracts and Arbitration since 1986 and is a Visiting Professorial Fellow of the College. He was a judge of the Technology and Construction Court of the High Court of Justice from 1993-2005 and has now returned to practice as an arbitrator in international and domestic commercial disputes. |

Dr Stefan Kroll Stefan Kröll is a lawyer in Cologne specialising in international commercial law and Habilitand at Cologne University. He holds a doctorate from Cologne University, an LLM from the University of London and is one of Germany's National Correspondents for arbitration to UNCITRAL. He is author and editor of various books on arbitration including 'Comparative International Commercial Arbitration' (jointly with Lew/Mistelis) and 'Arbitration in Germany - The Model Law in Practice' (jointly with Böckstiegel/Naciemiento). |

He was previously a partner in the Dispute Resolution Department of Baker & Mckenzie in London where he was the chair of the firm's European Dispute Resolution Practice group. Chris' practice is focused on international commercial arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. |
